what is there to understand?? You either beat or lose to your predecessor. I would argue that most older tiger fans spent most of their years watching Bear Bryant hand LSU their asses on a routine basis. If that is what you are ok with, then I guess you know the game.

I remember watching Terry Robiskie set what was then the school record for most rushing yards in a game, and then seeing his son play against us in the national championship for Ohio State. I remember a decent, but not great, coach who was a great guy take over a top-5 national program and slowly run it into mediocrity over a period of years, while always winning enough to justify keeping his job, but also always remaining clearly inferior to the great coach at Alabama...the FIRST time.
