SC fans are rejoicing over Garrett's departure.

I still can't believe that Reggie refused to repay the $300k he was loaned, by a reputed gangster no less. Not a smart move on a couple of different levels.

He'll always be a great Trojan to me. I don't hate on him the way some in the USC camp are doing because of NCAA penalties.

I think what he did is no different than what a lot of players are doing, and have been doing for years.

If you keep the unscrupulous people handing out "freebies" to talented, sometimes underprivileged players, you'll put a dent in the problem, but until then, which of the "have nots" will say NO to becoming one of the "haves" before it's OK with the NCAA?

The NCAA is a fricking joke. These star athletes make all the money for their schools and while 56K worth of annual scholarship $ at USC is great, compare that to south of 20K for a 4 year education at Florida State. It's a pittance.
