It can't much better to be able to drop our first World Championship banner from the rafters before we play Minnesota, a team that has been to the Superbowl 4 times and lost. The only way it could be better is if we were playing Atlanta.

God how i hate the offseason..

Not really--because only about five or ten Falcon fans would be there to see it.

Atlanta fans suck.

Perhaps we could console the Vikes by telling them they probably would have lost the SB if they would have won the NFC championship.
ETA Seems some of ya'll took me serious.

Those disillusioned a-hole fans would never believe that.

Talk to a Viking fan. They really think that because they have been to four Super Bowls already(and lost all of them ), they think they were entitled to go to the Super Bowl and face the Colts.

How dare the Saints take what was rightfully theirs?

Their fans are the biggest whiners in all of sports.

This.

I am still puzzled by their cries of "all the late hits on Favre."
The Saints were called for ONE roughing the passer (and Buck and Aikman disagreed on that one) when Hargrove supposedly "picked up Favre and drove him into the ground." (Funny, the Vikings did the SAME thing to Brees on the last drive - no call.)
Could they have called a penalty on McCray's low hit? Yes.
But ALL the other supposed "late hits" on Favre were never called. Because they were legal hits.

It is legal to hit the QB at or right after the ball is released. Evidently Vikings fans have selective memory - that's just what they did to Romo the week before!

Their other cry was the "uncatchable" pass interference on Thomas. Never mind that:
(1) Thomas' jersey was held during the route.
(2) The Vikings LB in advertently stepped on Thomas foot, causing him to trip and fall.
(3) The Vikings LB NEVER TURNED HIS HEAD OR BODY AROUND to look for the ball.

Mike Pereira, just retired NFL Head of Officials, made all three of those points during his commentary of the NFL Network's replay of the NFCCG.

Minnesoder Idiots.
