New Conferences and Postseason

Okay so I thought of an interesting scenario. With college football facing massive conference realignments, I think this will create a better chance for "mid-major" teams to make an impact in a postseason playoff picture. With less big conferences comes less automatic bids into a playoff system. Therefore the smaller conferences get more spots into a playoff system. They'll get no at large bids but an eight team playoff with four big conferences (SEC, ACC, Pac 10, Big Ten) will leave four spots open for smaller conference champions...if the powers that be choose to do it that way which I doubt they will. On the flip side of this, with the new conference realignments the BCS will become even more meaningless than it is now cause a team not from a big conference will have even less chance to get to the championship game, and all the others are pointless as is

it would be the 4 big confrences playing each other for the championship
