Watching the FIU Dartmoth game, yeah I have time on my hands, this guy might not survive this game in the booth! He's awful. I hope never does any of our games

I'd rank him somewhere ahead of Brain Jordan and Eric Young...maybe a bit behind Cowboy Brantley.

I didn't realize he was doing that game. I'll have to give it a listen. I think Eric Byrnes is awesome.

Somewhat on topic, I am I the only one who wishes Sean McDonough could call the c'ship games in Omaha and not Mike Patrick? I got pretty wasted in the "Jared Mitchell can fly" references last season in the Texas series.

He is awesome! Peterson was talking about the wood bat leagues yesterday and Byrnes said that the producer of "Summer Catch" followed his Chatham A's team around in "95 and that the movie was loosely based off of their team. Peterson asked him "Well who played you?" His reply "The nut bag from California."

this is painful to listen to. Byrnes is out of his mind. sounds hungover/still drunk.

Peterson did mention the Larson HR from Omaha

And he needs more schooling for broadcasting. He's trying too hard and he's asking dumb questions to his own crew. Kyle is probably thinking the worst. He is on the verge of having Gilbert Gottfried in the booth. Ventura and Hershiser are far better. Joe Morgan is even worlds better, but that's like a student making higher percentage F's than a dropout and being rewarded for it.

First he talked about how he was a master at popping up and would run as hard as he could on popups and sometimes get a double. The he says that he was a master at rolling over to third and how high his batting average would be if the 3B had to play on the bag. Well, no shite, I'm sure that would be true for most right handed batters.

earlier he swore up and down the runner missed 1st base, made the guys in the truck replay it twice....guy definitely got the bag.

kyle peterson pretty much called him a fricking idiot, the byrnes goes "maybe i should just go home"... then utter silence..

Now, he's taking douchebaggery to a new level.

"What's the deal with the helmet tap celebration? Did I not get the memo?"

I have never heard a color guy ask so many fricking questions. This is starting to get uncomfortable and embarrassing and I don't even know why.

GOD, could you imagine if he called OUR game? Seriously, he needs more school. The constant question-asking and overdone antics are totally stupid. Condon is better than this guy.

shite, this guy is horrible. He's that guy that you know isn't right, but yells when trying to make his point so you just let him talk. I really hope he doesn't make an appearance at a Super that I don't care about or at the CWS.

And, I agree with whoever said they miss Harold Reynolds.

Byrnes: "But Kyle, Hoe bad was your jock itch on a hot day like this when you played?"

He's one of those who hates when there's an uncomfortable silence. He's one of those asshats who just has to make noise...and he cannot quit talking about himself. I'm so f'ing tired of him.

yea he just butchered the rule for a balk. peterson had to school him

if i were peterson i'd threatening to walk if they paired byrnes w/ him anymore.

he's just an idiot, asking dumb questions, harping on insignificant details...

OMFG whata collision!

"i thought he was dead"

ok i agree w/ him there

Me too, but "I thought he was dead"...an assholish thing to say and then 2 minutes later, he's like, "Nah, I knew he was all right."

He's worse than Brian Jordan. The dude just totally kills the vibe in the booth. Kyle definitely is not digging being in the booth with him. I'm bitter because there's way better out there for his position...from Harold Reynolds to Howie Mandel.
