Can he step up next year and fill the shoes of Dean as our clutch player in the mold of Cresse, Furniss, etc.?

He is already there. He is the best player on the team and he has had numerous clutch hits. HGe had the big hits against the horns as a freshman.

IMO he is the best clutch player on the team. Before its over he will be on the greatest players in LSU history.

He's one of the best we've ever had. The dude is clutch at the plate, clutch in the field, plays 110% everyday, and is a star. Him not being All-SEC is a travesty.
To answer your question, yes, he could be "the guy" next year.

Probably gonna depend on the rest of the lineup and who emerges as power hitters. He's got no.3 hitter written all over him though

Nola needs to bat at #4 imo because that dude can drive in runs. Mahtook probly #3.
