Couldn't have read it here. Most loyal fans in all of sports reside here.

This isn't the 1st time she let ULL beat her in the regionals, plus she allowed a 5 time all-state pitcher sign w/ ULL (she was once committed to LSU). We don't get the top Louisiana talent and we get the Pac-10 leftovers.

Exactly! I have never attended a game or read a newspaper article on LSU women's softball. BUT, I think that she should feel some pressure for not being able, as an LSU coach, to out-recruit, out-play, and trounce ULL! (OK I did regularly look at Emily Turner's photos.)

Why would ULL not get the recruit. They are a better program with a better softball tradition. Yvette was better at ULL than she is at LSU. LSU softball is just not as mighty as some think it is.

Yet, we're able to take ULL's coach?

Girouard left USL in 2001 to take the reins of the LSU program. Her record at LSU is 407-119, including a 166-66 record in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). She has led LSU to two Women's College World Series (third-place finishes in 2001 and 2004), three SEC championships (2001, 2002, and 2004), four SEC tournament championships (2001, 2002, 2004, and 2007), and two SEC tournament runner-up finishes (2003 and 2006). Her Lady Tiger teams have also played in seven NCAA tournaments.

What makes some of you think the ULL program is better?

Most coaches would leave for probably twice the salary. What does that say about the LSU program that ULL can go out and sign another coach for way less money and still beat and out recruit LSU at a schoold with a small budget and sub par facilities?

And the following tidbit about the ULL head coachin job is unique and weird at the same time:

quote:

The team is led by an unusual co-head coaching arrangement; even more unusual is that the head coaches are married – Stefni Lotief (452-110 record through ten seasons as either head or co-head coach) and husband Michael (assistant coach for two seasons, co-head coach for the last eight with a 351-87 record).

I wonder who gets the last word.

Show me where they are better. You act as if they've killed us in regionals. That's simply not the case. 1-0 this year and LSU left 9 runners on base.

Both LSU and ULL have the same # of college world series appearances since 2000.

I wouldn't be surprised if she retired. She seems tired to me.

Apparently you do or you wouldn't have clicked on the thread. You didn't think Yvette Girouard was our football coach did you?

Yeah, forget about the other 3 before that for ULL.
