Can't imagine too many people willing to pay TAF fees for basketball season tickets

I pay $100 apiece for season tix, and I don't think I've sat in my own seat yet. I do make a token effort to locate where they are at the beginning of the season, but other than that, we pretty much sit where we want.

Guess, the empty student section last year helped speed this process up, however the Tradition Fund price is nothing for the wealthy contributors, large and small companies and thats who will buy up the majority lower level to med level "prime seats", sign of the times, they have been wanting to do this for years.

Also under the new plan, all seating for LSU students would move behind the east goal of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and media seating would move to the northeast corner of the arena.

I guess this is the official announcement that they are moving the student section. At least all the students will be seated together instead of being seated in separate sections of the arena

My seats are located in the section where they plan on moving the students and I was told that I would have to relocate last year when I needed to renew them..... Well can anyone guess where I will be watching to BB games next year?

I hear you, don't blame you. Remember LSU told football fans if they didn't want to pay the tradition fund, that there are plenty of people that do, I haven't forgot that yet I still pay it and go, however no appreciation for loyalty ...NONE

Problem is who wants to pay the fund for basketball?

Wow! That's a huge increase. I have great seats now. Bought seats high in the uppers behind the goal right when Dale was leaving and suffered through the Brady years though that gave me the chance to keep upgrading.
Don't know that I'll want to pay $500 more each for 4 seats.

I have nice seats in the 200 level and now they're going for 500 a pop. It pisses me off because I make every game and our product last year was poop and next season isn't going to be much better. Corporate America won the PMAC battle. Guess I'll buy them outside the pmac for 10 bucks instead. It works for baseball games.

I'll still have my tix available for weekday games next season. I pretty much gave em away last year to friends.

Yup - my buddy had to do the same. I ended up bringing friends and the wife to damn near all the games because he couldn't go. At least he didn't spend 500 on them. I told him today I likely won't renew.

The result will be empty seats in those prime seating areas for most games.

I've upgraded my seats for the last 10 years. TAF has just priced me out of them.

I don't see how they could put such huge charges on basketball tickets when there is zero demand right now. I have really good seats and last year there were a few SEC games that i had extra tickets for and I could not even give them away. LSU must not understand that most of the basketball season ticket holders also have football season tickets. By adding an extra $750-$1000 per ticket on top of what they charge for football they are about to force alot of people to drop their basketball tickets. If you had 4 season tickets for your family would you want to pay $3000-$4000 for LSU basketball?
