When will this end?

I realize that the question in itself is rhetorical, but I'm watching ESPN reporting on Brett Favre having ankle surgery blah blah blah.
Ask me if they brought up "dirty shots" on Brett Favre by the Saints. Again. The anchor almost threw his homerism on the air, giving credence to the dirty shot routine played out by the TMZ of sports media.
I'm just wondering....do you guys ever, EVER, seeing this put to rest?
To me, I've gone from "who gives a damn" to "this shite is really getting annoying".

Why I hate the media. If no story make one up or blow something out of proportion.

TV is about ratings. Drama equals ratings and Brett Favre is the perfect diva to meet the need. The whole " will he come back " drama will be really kicked up this summer. I do believe people are getting tired of it and eventually will stop paying attention.
