Just watched it and it is an incredible movie. It's about a prisoner that escapes and joins a band of Christian vikings on a quest to Jerusalem to fight in the Crusades. It's one of those hypnotic movies with minimal dialogue, amazing visuals, and a good bit of violence that I absolutely love. If you generally agree with my movie tastes then I highly recommend this one.

I'm looking forward to this more than I am Inception. I'm a huge fan of Mads Mikkelsen (except for Clash of the Titans). Glad to hear you liked it.

You finally got Netflix? If so, then it is about time.

It's not on there yet...I downloaded the torrent off of piratebay. It has well over 5000 seeders so it doesn't take long at all

I just got the Region B Blu Ray from the UK. I am watching it on my region free player and it's brilliant. Not as good as Bronson, but pretty damn good.

It's been on my Netflix queue for awhile, but it still has "unknown" listed for it's availability.

IFC Films owns the US distribution rights.. All I've really seen is that they plan to release it sometime in 2010 in the US market. Until then, Blu Ray torrents or a region free player is the only way to watch.

Def not the same at all. VR is pretty slow paced and has very minimal dialogue (the main character is a mute) and the action is very un-action-movie-like as in no quick cuts or thrilling music.

I haven't seen any other films by Nicolas Winding Refn but I've heard from a guy whose opinion I trust that Bronson and Pusher are just as brilliant as VR. I think both are are on Instant but just haven't gotten around to watching them.

Bronson isn't that great. the main performance is incredible, but as a movie it's pretty boring

there isn't as much to work with as you'd think

Nicolas Winding Refn is a great new talent. The Pusher Trilogy, which he did, is a great series as well. Haven't seen Bleeder, one of his early films, but Bronson was one of my favorite movies last year. That and Moon.

I do value your entertainment tastes. Although I'm not on netflix yet either, I'll try to check it out.
