Apparently I've been living under a rock, didn't realize EA was about to reboot the franchise.

it's a game that's supposed to excite nostalgia gamers, and most nostalgia gamers (that aren't nintendo fanboys) went the ps3/xbox360 route instead of the Wii route.
If they actually wanted to give this incarnation of NBA JAM some sort of mass appeal, they would go the Mega Man 9 route and put it on all the virtual consoles for download.
