I never understood the irrational anger over how they talked. I guess when Scatman Crothers was in the original, his character was also racist, even though that was just the way he talked.

this happens in almost every movie. you know what if you want to think of yourself being portrayed low class then you are obviously low class. Remember the Hyenas in the Lion King and all the complaints they got on that. I mean even if i thought they represented me and my race i don't think i would comare myself to a bunch of hyenas.
