Someone please explain to me why he's been starting the past 5 games. Is it just Mainieri trying to shake up the lineup or what. I know Dishon didn't exactly have a great average but he at least brought some pop to the equation, speed on the base paths, and good fielding. What exactly does Edward bring at all? He's not very fast, a decent fielder, and is batting below .200.

Agreed, the only thing he has going for him is the fact that he's a frehman (build for next yr)

I'd much rather has Johnnys cannon out there n left, also his speed on the basepaths

Johnnys speed on the basepaths would be good, if Johnny got on base.

I've heard rumblings of J Dishon and PM butting heads. Anyone else hear anything to confirm this?

No Reason to point out ONE individual not hitting, when the whole lineup isnt really hitting.

We are killing ourselves with people on base. 1-9 cant drive in runs when we need it.

Its Mahtook,Nola,DEAN,Gibbs,Gaudet,LANDRY,Edward,Dozar and Hanover not producing with people on base.

NOT JUST ONE PERSON.

the reason is that Dishon has the legs to be batting .350 plus, but he wants to be a big shot homerun hitter and strikes out way too much. If he would hit the ball on the ground he would no doubt have twice as many hits as he has. Mainieri has probably challenged him with this and he hasn't responded last week he was completely blown away by Ole Miss's pitchers.

We have alot of guys who think they are big shot homerun hitters that need to relax and stop trying to hit the 8 run bomb with no one on base.

We need to get hits when people are on base, we dont need bombs every other AB. That wont happen.

Gaudet,Landry and Dean try to win the game on every AB.

If that doesnt get fixed, we will continue to struggle.

I don't think you can say that about Landry or Dean. Landry's approach has completely changed. He's very good against RHP.

Dean just isn't seeing the ball like he normally does. He watched a first pitch fastball in the inner half today. He hasn't seen a first pitch that good in a long time and he just couldn't pull the trigger.
