If the Jets don't snap the guy up, he'd be a difference maker on the Saints right? Just wondering if there is any chance they'd be able to sway him to come down?

He's going to the Jets. His old DC is there, and some of his Baltimore teammates.

He has no connections with the Saints.

I really hope we can get to the point where we only need 1 thread on the 1st page for each potential free agent

We play with 4 lbs on the field regularly.

We would be a pretty expensive pickup for the Saints.

Don't know if we can afford him.

occasionally, not regularly

he's a pass rush LB that is the size of a DE and essentially hasnt had a good year since he left the Ravens. he's old too

Thomas was let go for locker room reasons.

Now, what that means to those jackasses up north, I don't know, but that was one of the reasons given on NFL network today (which I find I'm watching a lot more of recently).

Thomas, frankly, doesn't seem like he'd be a great fit here anyway.

No, hes played the 3-4 OLB for a while, but he could play DE, OLB, ILB if he wanted. Rex Ryan shifted him around his last 2 years with Baltimore at all 3 of those positions.

he couldn't play ILB in a 4-3

and he cant play OLB in a 4-3, thus he would have to play DE. Doesn't mean he would be good at it.

he's a shell of his once former, athletic self that played CB way back when

he primarily rushed the passer from DE or OLB. Not much too that. It's a lot different than traditionally playing OLB or DE in a 4-3.

not to mention he is old. It would be a bad signing for New orleans especially after landing Alex Brown and Wilkerson. We dont need him
