We just added depth at Cb,OT,and TE. The CB and TE position had injuries last year plus we can groom this gems from the draft. I know everyone wanted a LB hell i even wanted us to draft one but i think the Saints coaches feel Castilla or the LB from wake forest will step it up and they will bring in undrafted rookies to camp. Next DT and DE well we picked up Wilkerson and Brown at the DE position and at the DT i think they have something planned.

it's not bad

i just hope that they're going to be aggressive with trades and via free agency

if i had to describe our draft, i would describe it as smug (at least the first 3 picks)

The Saints will receive one of the lowest draft grades from the "gurus"

It will remain to be seen how it turns out

What choice do we have but to be aggressive?

I'm really not worried - the Jags just landed a starting LB in Morrison by moving down from the 4th to 5th round. Seems like young vets who aren't Pro Bowlers are cheaper than ever right now.

We are the defending Super Bowl champs and everybody knows that the chemistry on this team is top notch. We'll have the pick of the FA litter once the second round of cuts comes. Guys will be eager to get a ring and play here.

Remember too that this F.O. has shown an unbelievable track record of finding hidden gems in undrafted FAs (PT) and other team's rejects (Shanle).

We have ammo to use if someone lineman goes down during training camp and can demand whatever we want cause we have the deepest o-line in the NFL. I think it will benefit us somewhere down the line.

so was the 2006 draft...and that worked out pretty well for us, huh?

people said, "The Saints drafted Reggie Bush....and then everyone else."

"grading" drafts immediately after (or during the draft is still going on) is ridiculous. no one knows how ANY of the players will end up playing in the NFL. it's pointless.

a draft can only correctly be graded at least 3 years after...if people would go back and grade our 2006 draft, we'd have an A+.

which is why i put gurus in quotes.

grades are stupid right after the draft, but it is what it is right now.

I'm hoping for the best. Who remembers the last rush LB we passed on that went to BAL? How'd he turn out?
