As per ESPN's rumor section, this is what they have to say. I don't necessarily buy it, but it is quite interesting. Take what you want from it. (If it's Germans, then kiss my German Helmet and Fuk Off )

This rumor is still on the outskirts of reality, but it's starting to congeal a bit more as Friday goes along.

Michael Schottey of the Detroit Lions blog Blue and Silver Pride tweeted on Friday morning that he's hearing "chatter" that Patrick Robinson -- the New Orleans Saints' first pick at No. 32 overall -- is being included in a possible trade with the Washington Redskins in exchange for Albert Haynesworth. Schottey clarifies that Robinson would be part of a larger deal.

Later on Friday, Jason Reid of the Washington Post tweeted the following: "Redskins taking calls on Haynesworth in attempt to solve a big problem and accumulate picks." Reid confirmed that the Saints have called.

Here's where it gets fun. On his blog, Schottey noted that the Redskins have indicated an interest in Saints OT Jammal Brown -- per a league source -- and thus that Brown and Robinson would both be headed to D.C. in this potential deal. Brown at LT would "solve a big problem" and allow Trent Williams to stay at RT. This one's got some legs.

We better be getting more than just haynes in that deal including JB and PR.

McIntosh, Campbell, and Haynesworth for JB and Robinson... enough to think about.

wtf.. as great as haynesworth is.. we'd be getting raped on that.. why wouldn't we just trade the 1st rounder.. which is high..

If it is Brown and Robinson, we better get a shite ton more than just Haynesworth. McIntosh would have to be included, as well as even more than that

And why in the hell would we want Campbell? That is just stupid

not sure what this means, but it does signal that it would be more than just a swap. I was also surprised to see that the Injuns are still interested in Brown. This could make for one exciting draft

As said in the other thread, it makes no sense to trade the guy when you could have just traded the pick. Plus a 1st rounder is more than what all indications say would take to get him. If our second is not enough, throw in a 4th. They probably won't get more than that from anyone else.

I would much rather give up Brown and our 2nd for Haynesworth and McIntosh. If Jenkins does indeed get moved to FS, Robinson would be #4 behind 3 guys who love being hurt

Why? What reason in the world would we take him?

Now, I saw on the other thread Landry is on the block. The combination of him and Gregg Williams is just frightening.

Robinson and Brown for Haynesworth, McIntosh, and Landry would make me very giddy

not necessarily. trade talks could've been in the works, but time was running out. Saints pick the guy that Wash wants, also a guy that the Saints could use, and then continue the talks throughout the day and night. It could also be that Wash contacts Saints after they pick Rob, tell NO that they are interested, and begin chatter from there.

it could all just be BS caused by some a-hole writer who gets a kick out of fricking with us Saints fans. If that's the case, then we tell the Muslims that this reporter has a picture of Muhammad on his desk

I'd take Haynesworth in a split second. The guy is only 28 and has another 5-6 years left in him easy. Brown is pretty much expendable at this point and I wouldn't mind trading Robinson even though I think he has potential.

A Haynes in the hand is worth two in the Bush.

After defending the pick all last night, I would be PISSED if the Saints did this.

So at 34 he's done? Hell, Pat Williams is 38 and still playing great. Grady Jackson played great all the way until his 40s. He's got plenty of time left, our problem would be re-signing him when his contract ends

I'm 100% okay with Landry, but our coverage will be serverly lacking with Harper and Landry back there, assuming Sharper is gone. So, in other words...I'm not 100% good with Landry.
