I could not find a thread on this for 10 pages back so sorry if it was already posted.

Not a great card throughout but the 3 main fights excite me. I really don't have a dog in this fight. It's hard for me to pull against any of these fighters. Two big mismatches and a geezer battle

Anyone else got thoughts?

And if you are going to make a thread on it, you should list the matchups and put "UFC 112 predictions" in the title. Its this Sat right? Aren't Anderson Silva and B.J. Penn both fighting on this card?

Middleweight Championship bout: Anderson Silva vs. Demian Maia

Anderson will beat the shite out of this guy. It will never hit the ground as Maia will not be able to get him there. I say first round K.O.

Lightweight Championship bout: B.J. Penn vs. Frankie Edgar

I think Edgar gives Penn the best fight he has had at 155, but it still won't be enough. If it some how does reach the later rounds watch out though. Penn by RKC in the third round.

Welterweight bout: Matt Hughes vs. Renzo Gracie

I personally think Matt will win this, but I could be wrong. I'll just pick him winning for now

It's too easy to pick the favs in this card. I'm not picking any upsets.

I'd like to see Frankie move to 145lbs and take on Faber/Aldo winner.

agreed.

I really like Edgar, but Penn is just going to be too big.

I thought it was open weight with BJ at 190 and Machida at 220? Or am I thinking of something else?

I think it will be a little closer than people think. I still think BJ wins but it definitely won't be as dominant as his wins versus Diego, Joe Daddy, and KenFlo IMO.
