I think this comparison is a good one. Both guys have/had all the ability necessary to take it to the next level. At times, they both made great plays, and there is always a hope that they will mature as leaders. For whatever reason they never seem to be able to get over the hump. Both quaterbacks are good enough for their team to have a substantial amount of sucess, but they will never put the team on their back and carry them to victory.

Lets hope Jefferson proves me wrong. The starting job is safely in his hands, so he will have ample opportunities to do this.

Geaux Tigers.

Perhaps you are giving too much credit to Jefferson. Brooks was a starting NFL QB!

I am comparing them in their current situations. Yes Aaron Brooks was an NFL starter, but as a starter in the NFL he reminds me of Jefferson in College.

Do you fricking realize Brooks lead the Saints to their first ever playoff win and is the 3rd best QB in team history?

Brooks with far less ability. Basically they are just both black QBs.

Meh. I think he would be a few eff ups from sitting the pine and watching JLee toss a couple picks and a few TDs.

Jefferson would need to learn that patented Brooks spin move with his back to the line against pass rush.

Brooks could at least hit an open receiver. He just wasn't very smart and he had to wait for the receiver to come open. He never threw to a spot. But he had a far superior arm.

This is a retarded comparison. Jefferson is a QB who plays quite conservatively and doesn't take many chances. He has a relatively low number of TDs and yardage but doesn't turn the ball over much. Brooks was a high risk QB who compiled lots of yards and TDs (mostly late in games in garbage time) but who turned the ball over a lot. Brooks played with a much more aggressive style.

So the comparision is pretty moronic. But I have a feeling how you came to it.

Hey man, he isn't comparing their qb styles. He is saying they both seem to be on the edge of being really good, but never get there. Although I don't think jefferson is on the verge of anything. He just sucks. So stop being a tool.
