Has anyone here ever had their gamer tag banned?
Anyone ever talked their way into being unbanned?
I turned mine on yesterday, went to sign in and got a message that my Gamer tag now violates the terms of use for Xbox live. I have had that gamer tag since Xbox live was invented.
I sent an email to them but it seems to be going nowhere. I have a 2nd XBL account so I am prepared waste as much of someones time as needed.

They will not reverse the ban. Just wait it out.
If you got banned for TOU and not code of conduct that means you were cheating, cheater.

Cheating at Netflix?
That account is pretty much for watching netflix.
The screen msg makes it look like they don't like the screen name. It's POOHter. Thought maby someone found it offensive. I think they need to explain themselves.

They do not have to discuss anything with you and won't. I read those forums all the time and people complaing like you to get nowhere. All you can do is ride it out. Also, if it was your screen name they had a problem with you would be banned for Code of Conduct not Terms of Use. They are two different animals.

Whats that mean? They made no mention that it would become unbanned. It is forcing me to change the screen name. Which makes no freaking sense to me.

Well, that is what I was thinking. They just don't like my gamertag after 7+ years. So instead of just changing because they say so, I emailed them. "Anne" replies back telling me I can read about what may have caused me to be "banned" for TOU.
That account is used to watch Netflix. I do all my COD and AA from my other account. A life long member should get a better explanation I think.

I don't think you're banned you will probably just have to change the gamertag. When you get banned from XBL your console gets banned and no gamertag will work.

Ok, I just hate to lose... but not enough to cheat. So ya'll are saying I can't win. Now I guess I need help coming up with a good gamer tag to redeem myself and protest all in one.

So wrong. You can use other gamertags on the Xbox unless you get console banned. You only get console banned for having a hacked box or scamming people out of points for 10th prestige.
A suspension is just the Live account and it usualy has a set period of time but your box is OK. A ban is a console and you can still use your Live account on another Xbox if you have one.
