Would it be worth losing Sharper to fa if the Saints signed a quality DE,DT, or OLB because of it?

With the recent cuts and moves I think Yes.

But I wonder how Chip Vaughn could handle it. I'm not convinced U. Young could handle the duty or if Jenkins could make that transition or even if the Saints coaches want to experiment with that for him.

I'd rather keep him. It shouldn't be an either/or scenario. If anything, I'd be willing to give up a draft pick to sign one of the many quality RFA's out there.

No. Losing Sharper would have a bigger negative impact on the defense than the positive impact a DT, DE, or OLB would have.
