It's funny how people freak out when a FA visits another place. He needs to at least create the perception that other teams are genuinely interested in his services. It's hard to do that if you don't actually go visit anyone. He'll have no leverage whatsoever in negotiations if he doesn't at least talk to a few other teams.

The Super Bowl win and GW's scheme that maximizes player ability give the Saints leverage over aging veterans that wouldn't produce as well elsewhere. If they don't want to get low balled they need to have other teams showing interest. But yeah, it's kind of sad that he's having to slum it with the Browns.

Is there really a legitimate chance he'll leave?

Fujita will be a Saint unless he is given some ridiculous insulting offer...no players want to leave this team unless their hand is forced money-wise. a"repeat" for this time is highly possible...we can do it. a little "shake-up"...no injuries to drew?..lets do this thing again!!!!!

The Saints didn't have a dominant front 7 last year and they won the Super Bowl.

The Saints proved that they only need a "good enough" front seven. While dominant would be great, it's not necessary for them to win.

He won a Super Bowl, now it's time to get paid.

Exactly. How can someone fault the guy for wanting to get the most out of what will probably his final contract. I'm sure he'd love to finish his career in the Black and Gold but making sure his family is set should take precedence.

I for one want him back almost as bad as I want Sharper back. Scott is 2nd only to Brees as my favorite player on the team. But I would hold no ill will toward him if the Saints aren't willing to do what it takes to keep him.

Fujita, who lives in the same Warehouse District condominium complex as Sharper, said last Saturday that he hoped to remain in New Orleans but would certainly listen to other offers.

From an article talking about him and Sharper.

I absolutely agree. He has a Super Bowl, and he is not getting younger. The next thing he wants to do is get a lot of $$$ from a team that might need him.
