It averages out to less the 4 mil a year. Not bad if it makes everyone happy. Saints get to keep him without the franchise tag and he gets a long term deal.

no - you can structure NFL contracts anyway you like them so essentially it could be
'10: 10M
'11: 500k
'12: 500k
i think it would looks something like
'10: 5M
'11: 3.5M
'12: 2.5M

I know he's hated on here but Kenny Wilkerson reported that deal was offered about a week ago

I heard about that deal a week ago and mentioned it in a thread, but it's also known from what I heard that Sharper will test the free waters to see if he can get more.

I like Sharper, but ESPN is reporting that the Cardnals are releasing Antrel Rolle. I think he's a younger version of Sharper at FS.
Just throwing it out there to see if we should consider other options or if this decreases Sharper's value.

Rolle is a fine player. But Sharper for next two year avg. say... 3.5 mil. is not bad. On a side note I'm very curious about Myron Rolle. Fl. St.. Could be a sleeper.

I don't think he's a sleeper. Freshman All-American, 3rd team All-American and All-ACC. Only question is about his year off, but I think his maturity and smarts make him that much more attractive. IMO.
