Can some of you "experts" shed light on who would actually sign Jammal Brown and give us their 1st rounder in compensation? I really like this idea and think it would make our team a whole heck of alot better but I cant really tell if this scenario is a wet dream or something that could actually happen.

Not an "expert" but he was a Pro-Bowl left tackle before the injury, so if someone in the draft between 19-31 had a need at that position instead of the basic crapshoot of drafting someone you would have to pay alot of money, it would make more sense to get a guy already proven in the league. For instance, Green Bay picking at 22nd allowed the most sacks in the league and could use a Pro-Bowl Left Tackle. Of course this all depends on Brown's health

I have to agree that Green Bay is the best chance of this happening. Outside of them I don't know who is going to want to pay the salary for a guy coming off season ending injury.

Of course that worked pretty well for us with Drew Brees even though we did not have to give anything up for him.

Packers have need and a later first

Seahawks and 49ers could use him and have 2 first round picks

But do they have a want?

Seriously though - what about all those rumblings of Jamal's degenerative left knee that we used to hear about? WWL (Maybe Kenny or Kaare) used to swear that he'd be out of the NFL by age 30 b/c of his knee condition.

I think JB can very well be used to move up about 10 spots in the first round. Maybe JB + our 2nd for Zona/Dallas/GB pick. I don't think anyone gives us a first for him straight up. Seattle may give up that 38th pick, though.
