Loses again. Team struck out 12 times. Does everyone they play have better pitchers or are the hitters just starting the year slow? I hope its slow because the SEC has as good a pitchers.

With the Fico addition I thought we would be better. And that may be the case but the hitting is not so far.

When a team is supposedly better than you, and you lose to them it shouldn't be a surprise?

I though Yvette would have the program much farther along than what it is. I can understand Texas at their park but this is home turf. Just not sure if she's lived up to her billing.

She consistently has a top 25 team. 3 conference championships in 10 years and two WCWS appearances.

College softball is a sport generally dominated by west coast teams.

Bama, FL, UGA, and TENN all have better programs right now than us though

Michigan's pitcher is one of the best in the country. Mack K's 8 and gives up 1 ER.

Our pitching is doing pretty well w young pitchers.

Our bats need to wake up.

UT is ranked behind us and hasn't done anything since Abbott left. Saying UGA is a better program is like saying Oregon has a better foorball program than USC because they went to the BCS this year.

Michigan just lost 2 - 1 to a terrible Va team that they beat 13 - 0 yesterday. How embarrassing. People don't understand that better teams can lose to a worse team from time to time in baseball and softball. LSU will be in the finals when they beat OSU tonight and they will win their own tournament. Book it.

UT and UGA have come on strong the past few years, both reaching the WCWS. Bama is head and shoulders above LSU now, and UF will be tough again even without Nelson. Granted, Yvette has had some bad luck with her top 2 pitchers getting hurt last season, but that doesn't explain why they can't hit the ball. Who is the hitting coach? He/she needs to go, not Coach G. If LSU doesn't make a major splash while Fico is in Baton Rouge, then there is a big problem.
