I didn't want to put this in the LOST thread because I believe it warrants its own topic.
Terry O'Quinn has really shown his acting chops the past couple of seasons on LOST. I am always floored by his scenes. The guy needs to do a major movie soon. Always have liked him for some reason. I'm worried he's too old, but he holds his own in the show with the young pups. He's by far the most intriguing character on the show for me personally.
He was really good in the original Stepfather also.

Some of the best exchanges of the series have been:
Locke and Ben
Locke and Jack
Locke and Sawyer
Locke and Walt
Locke and Richard
I'm seeing a pattern here...

He has been nails and I've made that comment a few times this season. Just does an amazing job playing two completely different characters in the same episode.

I'd rank the most dynamic character arcs as Locke, Ben, and Sawyer in no particular order.
The most static characters: Jack, Kate, and Sayid with a heavier emphasis on Jack and Kate.

The guy really has saved his best acting performances for now. It's almost like he was born to play this role.
Great actor. If the show ever decided to spin off, would love him to be the guy.

Yeah, I hate when they do an episode on Kate. Just an uninteresting character to me.
Sawyer has really improved his acting as the show has went on, but I still think Locke is the show at this point.

Locke and Ben are the best actors on this show by a mile.
Sawyer has improved greatly over the years.

Yeah I have grown to like Locke, Sawyer, and Ben the most. Maybe because they all seem to bring their "A" game every episode they are in.
I like Jin for what he brings, another good arc, as well as Desmond for the little time he is on there.
It's a shame, though, that the two "leads" from the first season are the most uninteresting IMO.

O'Quinn is an amazing actor and he has put on an amazing performance this season, and what is so amazing is he is still able to play a character who has a major twist in his arc (not spoiling it for people not caught up, but yall should be able to figure out what I'm talking about). He won't win the Emmy this year since he said he refuses to nominate himself for the same role. Since Emerson won last year, I think this year Josh Holloway should get it since he is just about as good as O'Quinn and Emerson are, and Holloway's acting skill has increased greatly since the show started.
Also Daniel Day Kim is an underappreciated actor in the show. Before it began he couldn't speak Korean, and as a person who studies a foreign language, it is hard as hell not to stutter your balls off when trying to remember what it is you are exactly trying to say.

I still laugh at the fact that Jin had to learn Korean before he did the show
Kind of ironic given his character.

Agree with this completely. Any time Locke and Ben are together, it is really good drama. Love those scenes.

I know. O'Quinn could win it again. He's money every show.
That scene with Kate and Sawyer though was a real good scene. Holloway was damn good.

It's amazing how much the perception of his character subtly changes over the years. He goes from one of the most hated characters in the first season to one of the most likable in season 6 all while the average viewer barely notices him.

Don't forget the most static of all... Hurley.

I like Myles too, even though he's a smartass. I laugh at him all the time.

I thought that Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) is easily the best actress to ever come through LOST. She is really the only actress to impress me with her acting skills.
And Jeremy Davies (Faraday) is also a great and underappreciated actor in the series.

I really miss Juliet. I thought of watching that new show V just because she is in it.
Faraday was another really interesting part of the show.

There needs to be some more Amy this season. She is a good actress.
