I know he's only a soph but wondering how he's been doing this year and if he's leaning anywhere. I watched his AAU team (panthers i believe) play two years ago and the kid was amazing.

The Fab 5 are only sophomores? Seems like they should at least be Jr's now.

Can we get a list of them again?

Hopefully Calipari, Pitino and Coach K decide to hang it up before they decide on colleges

If you look at the ESPN rankings... Felix, London, Pinchon are all 40 grades. Gathers had a 96 grade though

From what I've heard Pinchon is not on the level of the rest of the 5 but there is no doubt that Felix is legit. I don't put any stock in the 40 grade.

Felix is listed as only 5'7 . And you know they like to fib a little bit on those heights..

The 40 grade is the minimum. They are graded a 40 because they didn't really get evaluated at the time they got put on the site. Pinchon isn't on the level of the other 4. However, the 2nd best soph. in the state is Darryl Milburn at McKinley. Felix, Josh Hagins at Airline and Darius Johnson of Istrouma are the top PG's in the 2012 class. This 2012 class is absolutely loaded. And I saw somebody say Felix is 5'7", he is more 5'9-10" right now and about 175 lbs.

I know Cody Jones, I worked him out last summer in Opelousas. He is a good player but he needs to focus on football. I like the kid though, great kid with a great attitude. 6'2" about 185, Good handles, decent shot and very good defender. He must get a lot better handling the ball with both hands and get that shot a lot better. He has a chance to be mid major though because he can score the ball so well and is very athletice but right now, I would say football would be his best option. I can't wait to see him in the spring/summer with a chance to work him out again. Very, very good kid.

UNC, can you list a height/weight for each of these and a brief opinion of their potential/ability?

Javan Felix- 5'9 or 5'10 about 175 lbs. Could be an SEC/ACC/Big 12 type PG. Very high bball IQ and plays with a great poise. He is a natural leader with good skills. If he gets his shot to be a little more consistent, he will be the best player in the state.

Sydie London- 6'4" close to 190 lbs. Good, physical SF. Mid major lower tier high major player. To become a high major kid, he needs better handles, better shot and get a little quicker. Right now he is an undersized post. If he doesn't grow his stock will drop. I would say right now C-USA level.

Ricardo Gathers- 6'6" 225 man child. Heck of an athlete with an ok shot, decent handles, super strong, no real skill set yet. He is high major because he is 6'6" and overpowers most players. He is SEC/ACC type player.

Malik Morgan- He is a scorer, about 6'3" 180. Haven't seen him as much as the other 3 so I can't give a good eval on him but he is talented. Probably the 4th best of the group.

Joel Pichon- 6'1 175 lbs. Decent player, dropped off since their 8th grade year but still a good player. Mid Major at best. Playing in the wrong system at his HS but he will be a D1 player somewhere. This group is very good, but only the 1st 3 will be high major IMO.

Well i coach him Cody couldnt get a better kid with a good attitude with grades. Right now he has a 4.0 gpa and averages bout 20 points a game.He scored 23 against Port Barre Friday. And as a football player he had other coaches game planning to try and stop him. I made a highlight film of him for football.

That is exactly what I am talking about with Cody, with that GPA just shows what I am talking about with him being a great kid. I really like him a lot. Coach, I would enjoy meeting you sometime in the future. Anytime I am at a VP game I will ask for you. Are you the head coach or assistant for the bball team? And ask Cody about the white guy that worked him out in Opelousas last year, I am sure he will speak highly of me. He was the hardest worker I had along with Clarence Hamilton, a freshman stud at Opelousas HS and Hayward Register who is a good freshman guard at Comeaux. I actually watched Cody for the first time in Alabama last year and got him on rivals.com I am the guy that took his picture for rivals. You got a great kid on your hands at VPHS I cant say enough good things about the type of kid Cody Jones is.

Oh ok. Well I am heading to Glen Oaks/Istrouma game tonight. there will be some D-1 coaches in the building there so I am heading up to that one. Oklahoma State, LSU and St. Joe's are all supposed to be there tonight. So, good luck at OC, should be an easy W.
