The new maps

Wow. Shipment makes a return? I thought it was already playable, just under the name "Rust."

Vacant sucks. Overgrown is okay. I would have liked to see Crossfire and Bloc make a return. The White House map and some of the scenes in the United States could be really cool.

If it is real.. is it really a surprise? IW is a business after all and if you have the means for new game modes but haven't fully implemented them, or if they were late additions.

yeah, personally I don't care for CTF game modes, so most of these new additions don't much hold any real appeal. I'm happy with TDM and HC TDM with an occasional FFA.

New game modes are one thing, but I would expect any future DLC to include new maps. If people find out that those "new" maps are already coded into the disc, then I think there will be a huge backlash against IW and might even kill the MW2 community when they try to charge us for this content.

There's really no need to start a riot just yet, for all we know this content will be released for free later on and is being held back to revitalize the community when it starts to settle down a little bit.

Likely these are features that were coded in early stages of development that for one reason or another IW decided not to include in their final release. The code remains but I doubt that any of this will be a part of future DLC as they have already scratched it from their plans. There are also other kill streak rewards in the code such as a tank that I'm sure they will never implement. It's all just a part of the development process.
