Yesterday, the Saints played one of the smartest games I can ever remember them playing. Their heads were REALLY into the game.
There was not one false start, lining up with too many or not enough men on the line of scrimmage, or offsides on the defense. There was one very questionable roughing the passer that gave the Cards a touchdown. I even saw Shockey telling the guys to use their heads and wrap up the ball.
I like seeing this kind of discipline being put into the team.Too many times in the past, I've seen the Saints blow a game from just a stupid, boneheaded play. On a somewhat related issue, McCallister's resigning may have been a part of this. I could see him as a coach in waiting. He was always a smart, head in the game kind of player. I could see him talking to the players about these issues.
That is all.

i really felt the key to winning would be to win the turn over battle.. which is the main reason arizona beat the packers.. so i was excited to see us take care of the ball and create turnovers the way greg williams has emphasized all season.

Good point. And I thought the roughing the passer call on Sharper's int was BS. How is a guy supposed to stop in mid-air after jumping?
