That leaves us just enough time to get these recruiting classes in and get great.

LSU brings home the title in NOLA.

The Fab 5 freshmen from LA won't be here till the following season.

But I think we'll be really solid in 2010-2011 and even better in 2011-2012.

So they're Sophomores right now?

I still think LSU can have a really good team in two years from now. Maybe the final four is a bit of a stretch, but I can hope.

if Trent can get one or two playmakers, with his coach and brand of basketball, it's very possible...

Potentially we could be very good for 2011-2012...but 2012-2013 and the year after could be some epic seasons if Trent can go out and get those big time recruits out of NOLA for the 2012-2013 season.

The good thing is the 2010 incoming class should all be 4-year contributors. Don't really see any of those guys leaving early. Also, guys like Aaron Dotson, Dennis Harris and Eddie Ludwig should still be around for the 2012-2013 season. I can see Dotson developing into something special by his senior year and Ludwig should be a solid contributor off the bench. Harris could be a starting PF or great bench contributor.

Combine those 3 with the 4 incoming recruits who will be in their 3rd year by 2012-2013 and the big time incoming NOLA freshman for that year and that's a recipe for success that year and possible the one after.

Well 2013 is in the Georgia Dome and 2014 is in Cowboys Stadium. So that's not that far away. Both are day drives or an hour long flight. LSU fans could bring it.

These are hts/wts from this year, including the incoming freshmen who were measured or reported those hts/wts a long while back so they could be bigger.

I expect White to be around a solid 240-250 next year. Harris HOPEFULLY will gain some meat on him...I really don't want to see him go the route of Chris Johnson.

Ludwig was a marginal mid-major type of prospect out of high school. Derenbecker is a Top 100 player...BIG difference.

we'll see but the fact that they both come from country day makes me a little skeptical.

So, you're telling us that there are no more years of Gary Blantons out there?

Big time players come from small schools all the time.

Obviously his competition is the suck but I don't think it's a coincidence Derenbecker is a Top 100 player and Ludwig was a marginal 3-star prospect despite coming out of the same school in consecutive years.

Also FWIW...Derenbecker has gotten A LOT more interest from big (basketball) schools compared to Ludwig who got interest from mostly mid-major (basketball) schools. If you don't quite trust the recruiting services...

I hope he loses the tack minor attitude between now and then or he may not be on the squad next year.
