The day that damn plane landed in Tuscaloosa, this was coming. The guy is flat out the best in the business. I hope am wrong and will gladly admit it if I am. But I think our run is over or atleast on hold for a while. I can see Bama winning another in a couple years. I guess the cycle is in their favor now

Tide fans should send Skip a thank you note.

Its called reality. Im over him not being the LSU coach. I never have dislike the guy for leaving like most. Where he is coaching doesnt change my opinion of what kinda coach he is. I like the way his teams play

Simple fact is- Bama is 26-2 in the last two years and we have lost 9 games. Its their turn in the cyce

he is the best coach in the nation.... period...
anyone that says anything otherwise is 1.) jealous 2.) in denial 3.) functional retarded
admitting Saban is a great, great coach is not the same as saying you love Bama or envy Bama or whatever... it simply means you are admitting reality, and reality is Saban is, bottom line, the best coach in the land...
he has his team, no matter who it is, prepared, ready to play week in, week out, and they execute because he holds them accountable to themselves and the team each and every play... he urges them to get better every day and it pays off...

saban was infallable this year. first time and most likely the last. i'm predicting nothing but now that the mountain has been climbed who knows what will happen. sustaining the top rung is harder than getting there. we'll see if his intensity will continue. it didn't at LSU, but he's improved since the miami fiasco. he's also older and richer. ingredients for a "slow down" phase in life. if he doesn't slow down,it's gonna be damn hard to win the west.

Yep, Saban is a great coach, perhaps the best in college right now, but guess what folks, Bama can't and won't win it every year. Our job is stay competitive (I think we will) and be ready to step up and challenge for the championship when it's our time again.
It usually takes a lot of things going your way to win a championship and certainly to go undefeated in today's world of college football. Remember, Bama didn't steam roll everyone this year. They pulled out some close wins in crunch time, including the win against the Tigers which could have easily gone the other way. In fact, but for some great breaks and help from refs, Bama could have easily dropped a game or two.
The one good thing to come out of tonight's Bama win is that's 4 straight for the SEC, first 4 championship streak by the same conference in history. That's dominance. So here's to the Tigers stepping up their game next year!!
