is in the pro bowl. I wish the saints had drafted him instead of Jenkins.

Of course, at the time of the draft, Dan Morgan was still on the roster. Oh well, hopefully Jenkins turns into a solid safety

while i wasn't thrilled with Jenkins i really didn't think that Cushing would be this good.

eta: and i don't think anyone really thought that Dan Morgan would be a real contributor.

He's good now, he just needs some defensive line pressure, linebacker help, and coverage over the top. Jees he can't do it all by himself.

You have to be the most biased poster on this board. Are there ANY Saints you think are not good at something?

Bushrod needs some work at LT. Dave Thomas is not Shockey. Mike Bell doesn't play alot because he can't pick up a blitz. The two OLBs are a little slow for the position. Roman Harper is great in the box, horrible in coverage. Tracy Porter's tackling has worsened since his injury. There is a huge dropoff of talent after the starters. Casillas looked lost Sunday, despite everyone on here thinking he was great....Should I continue??

PS: Have you ever met whodatfan??? lulz

Why even bother giving him an answer? Dudes the biggest douche-bag on this site, you owe him nothing.

Hartley will be fine. I'll take him over Karney. He is young and needs the reps. He will be solid.

Just because I happen to disagree with a negative about the Saints, doesn't me I am biased......I mean, I am, but I have no problem talking about deficiencies. But, when someone takes the best college CB in the draft and wants to make him a safety after his rookie year, its just stupid. We can talk about the problems on the team, but me not talking bad about a rookie that was put into the starting rotation too early and has played serviceable, isn't being biased.

I felt that Cushing would be boom or bust and he has been a beast. The best thing about Jenkins is his versatility and of course special teams.

For some reason, I was excited when Morgan "came back" and was "in the best shape of his life." That didn't last long.

I've been saying this for awhile, I'm totally fine with keeping him and seeing if we can't make him into a great kicker for many years to come. He only missed one really bad one. Yeah it was big, but it's still just one.

I think we all got a little excited when that was going around.

Really...I don't thin anyone knew cushing would be this good. He would have went top 5 then. Jenkins will be fine. It was the right pick at the time.

And he has something like 23 career FG attempts. Give him some time. The front office is building future. Nice mix of young, inexperienced players with talent and some vets that can still play at a high level.

I agreed with picking Jenkins, but it appears right now that Vontae Davis (Dolphins) may have been a better CB option. I think Jenkins will be a good player down the road. A good pass rush will do wonders for him.

I'm not sure about this. They are picking on Sean Smith alot and the Dolphins can bring alot of pressure too. With Jenkins play on Special Teams, his ability to stay healthy when they needed him, and his upside, I think it was definitely the right pick in that spot.

I agree with you about Special Teams. If Greer and Porter stay healthy all year, I think Jenkins makes Gay the 4th guy. He could have used the time to learn. I also think Jenkins' play on Welker was one of the best defensive performances of the year.

I agree. But he needed to get his head out of his arse against Kellen Winslow last week. However, there was at least one long one that Sharper was out of position when Jenkins took the underneath.

In a zone scheme maybe. Never in a man scheme...
