They just finally got to a team on that cake schedule that could make them pay for it. Looking like the Aints are sliding on the downhill at the most important time of the year. And tell me who the best #9 on the field last night was? not almighty Brees.

He IS right. The offense finally was not able to bail them out. They need to fix the defense fast. Everyone expects Greer and Eliis to be the answer......I sure hope so.

this will be a popular reply just because the saints will have a bye. But I'm not so sure confidence is high for whichever hot playoff team comes into New Orleans that second round. Especially if its the Boys. This is where the real season starts, not saying Dallas is a great team, because they are inconsistent. But to say NO is great is a joke. They are extremely unproven. The two signature wins at home. Dallas sits with no more than two losses playing that same schedule.
Be realistic.

This is the Cowboys schedule:

Tampa
NYG
Carolina
Denver
Kansas City
Atlanta
Seattle
Philly
GB
Washington
Oakland
NYG
San Diego
N.O.
Washington
Philly

What makes your schedule so much better than the Saints? We both played each others division opponents this year. You had San Diego, we had New England. Other than that, it's a wash. You beat us. Great. Don't make an arse out of yourself because you finally beat a good team.

LO-fricking-L. Saints nuked the Phillies by 25, beat the Jets by 14, rallied down by 21 against Miami to win by 12 and absolutely annihilated the Giants. ...Oh, and blew up the franchise of the decade by 21 on Monday Night Football.

You got swept by Eli Manning. /thread

Not to get in a pissing match, but look at it. GB, DEN, SD, NO. But also look at home and away. And we each swept the others division, but you get to play yours twice, so thats three more easy wins. Where as you play ours again I'm not so sure you get all 6 wins. But I know we would get all 6 in yours. I've never said NO isnt a good team, but to say that wasn't the easiest schedule this year is lying to yourself. It's irrelevant to the point that the playoffs will probably go through NO, but we proved it is a winnable atmosphere.
Here's to hoping we get a rematch in a couple weeks. I want to see another round of that. Very entertaining.

Yea you are right you played a team made of 2nd and 3rd team players on Defense. Ware faced off against Bushrod instead of Brown too. All together you played a beat up team that hasnt been healthy for 5 or 6 weeks. Congrats. IF you really think anyone would rather Romo over Brees you are fricking dillusional too.

The Cowboys played ball last night, the Saints didn't. End of story. At the end of the night we were 13-1 and the Cowboys were still 9-5, having lost 2 to the Giants, who we destroyed, and to Philly, who we destroyed. The Cowgirls just caught the Saints at a good time. I hope you make it through the wildcard round, if you make the playoffs, so we can kick the shite out of you.

Agreed. Also because Dallas played their best game of the season last night and the Saints played their worst. The game was still in question with under one minute to go. Next time we play, Saints win by 17.

Even the great San Fransico teams of the 1980's lost at least two games a year. The mighty Troy Aikman Cowboy teams did too. One loss will not end the Saints' chances to do well. I think it is unfortunate that Minnesota is right behind us, but if the Saints have to play the Vikings in the playoffs at their place, so be it. You have to win the Superbowl away from home anyway.

I do believe the Saints' defense needs to get healthier for us to win the Lombardi award, because right now, I do believe a Payton Manning would slice right through our secondary like a hot knife through butter. But of course, a long way to go before a matchup like that may occur.

Great season, and even a stellar season for at least the next few seasons ahead. Go Saints.

delusional is thinking regular season record will scare anyone in the playoffs. Case and point NE 18-1. The playoffs has always been about who is peaking in the last weeks leading up to it, and who is healthy. If I was a Saints fan I would not be feeling too good about the whole situation. Regardless of if the Cowboys make it. (I will be the first to agree Phillips is retarded and we play inconsistent.) But good luck, maybe if you yell "Who Dat?" enough some good team might actually choke for you guys like half of your schedule has so far....
