LANDOVER, Md. -- The New Orleans Saints had no business winning. Two of their biggest plays were unbelievable flukes, bad mistakes that somehow morphed into positive results. Then they needed the other team's kicker to miss a 23-yard field goal just to stay alive, and a freeze-frame replay reversal to get the ball in overtime.

Saints use series of fortunate events to knock off Redskins

Drew said it best after the game. He said something like it seems in the past breaks like this would ALWAYS go against the Saints. Maybe its Karma. Maybe this really is our year!!

Let them talk. We didn't deserve that win just like we didn't deserve many of the near losses we've had over the years. Saints fans know better than anyone that what you deserve and what you get are two very different things. Fortunately the Saints are no longer playing Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda.

when drew said 'what comes around goes' around...think he was alluding to LL talking all that shite.

i think it was more in reference to some years and games where we've been on the opposite side of the outcome.

well, that's all 100% accurate.

The Skins should have won yesterday, saints got lucky. But, you need luck sometimes and if they play 10 times the saints probably win 8 or 9 times.

He's right the Saints used to never win games like this. Feels good to be on the other side of lady lucks bed for a change.

Man, did you say a mouthful with that first sentence. As for the second sentence, Jim Mora had some classic lines.

Playoffs,Playoffs.......oh the memories.

that wasn't a fluke.

it was definitely a fluke.

first, that the interception was made and upheld, which was very close. Then, when Meachem goes for the strip how often does the ball pop right out of the ball carrier's hands and into the guys arms doing the strip. That was a damn good play by Meachem, but the play as a whole was still a fluke.

that was the Skins having the fortune/misfortune of your paw paw's saints.

Just because it took Meachem's hustle and tenacity to create the fluke, does not make it not a fluke.
