That was pretty huge. I can't believe the booth wasn't going to take a look at that play. Still not a 100% sure it was a fumble though, but I'll take it
on the flip zorn's timeout to ice hartley that then persuaded payton to go ahead and go for more of a sure thing FG was also nice

How about McAlister for forcing that fumble also.

hard to tell, but i think once he got flipped it started to come out
the announcers seem to think it started to move once the forearm hit, but i think it was already coming out
their jerseys matched the ball color which made it hard to see, but it was coming out IMO

I don't think our D stops them if we don't get that fumble, so it was huge.

Every coach has faults, and Payton's in the past has been he's poor with challenges.
And I know he didn't challenge it himself, but he essentially did. EPICALLY GREAT timeout.

God I hope Les Miles was watching. JK

in real time I thought it was a fumble
in extreme slowmo I wasn't sure. The longer they looked at it the more confident I was.
quick whistle robbed us of another defensive td though

I was almost sure that they were going to call it incomplete. I didn't think he every really established possession and make a football move (that might not still be the rule though) I can't remember the Saints getting that many "breaks" in 1 game.

which made absolutely no sense to me. Why would the ball be coming out when the arm that wasn't holding the ball hit the ground? I never understood their reasoning behind that. Seems more logical that the hit itself caused the ball to be jarred loose, not the other arm bracing the body for the fall.

watched the NBC highlights. I think it was a fumble

if u seen the side replay that they only showed once, it was clearly a fumble. i couldnt really tell from the back replay that they kept showing but the side view there wasnt ne doubt.

the clear decisive angle was only shown once...IMO, it was a definite fumble from that angle

I don't think they could have gone back and called it incomplete since we were challenging if it were a fumble. I could be wrong on that

on that challenge and the meach strip play challenge both times the fox color guy was talking as if it were a fact both would go in washington's favor
