I've been reading some comments from Arkansas fans and some LSU fans about the atmosphere at Tiger Stadium Saturday, and I wanted to share my own thoughts.

First of all, it was my(and my kids) first trip to Tiger Stadium. And we had a blast! I keep hearing how subdued it was for a night game, but we were pretty impressed by the crowd size and atmosphere before and during the game.

Watching the team, Mike, and the band come down the hill was "the shizzz...", per my teenagers.

Where we sat we were outnumbered by Razorbacks, but the few Tiger fans that were in the area were very vocal and supportive of the team, and that's putting it nicely. BTW, the whoooopigsouie crap is very annoying, IMHO, FWIW.

So, if it was subdued, we didn't notice. But I guess we'll have to come back next year for Alabama just to make the comparison.

Seats were pretty full at start, but definitely thinned out bigtime in the 3rd quarter. Lots of empties for the OT period. Their loss, not ours. I do agree the crowd wasnt that noxious but you have to take the game meaning/nonmeaning into account. It was great to end with a win but it wasnt a huge game for us really.

I mocked the Whoopigsooie thing by jokingly doing it every time LSU scored. Got some great deathstares from a few Arknasas fans.
