I believe 2008 was the first season LSU instituted fireworks before some of that season's big games. LSU went 0-3 with losses to Georgia, Alabama, and Ole Miss. That trend continued this season and LSU dropped to 0-4 after a loss to Florida. When I heard there were going to be fireworks as the team ran out for the Arkansas game, I was petrified, worried that these fireworks may be this program's demon. It took a miss of a relatively short field goal for LSU to claim it's first victory under these conditions, but LSU did it, they exorcised their demons and reigned victorious.

There were fireworks pre-game for Auburn in '95. The only reason I remember is because I had to read about it the next morning in the paper because I wasn't very coherent the first part of that game.
