It's all about the money. Always has been, always will be.

Yes we lost only 3 games. I sure as hell hope we don't turn into an Alabama where we fire winning coaches.

Am I estatic with the coaching this year... no. But it doesn't lead to the firing of the head coach. Now if Les wanted to fire the OC that is his business. I doubt that happens.

Winning cures everything. As of today, he would still be the LSU coach next year imho.

Assuming he wins the bowl game, it would be hard to fire him at 10-3 even if the performance on the field has been seriously lacking at times.

Brain surgeon...You don't fire a guy who averages 9 possibly 10 wins a year...Who wants to come coach here if that happens...Contrary to popular belief on this board every coach with a name is not knocking on LSU's door... You fire Miles and you get nobody and recruiting goes to crap as well!

You may not want to be like Bama, but the players and I would sure love to be 24 and 0 in the last 2 regular seasons. I would get rid of an under performing winning coach in a second. Just like Alabama did. Who says you have to be satisfied, we should always try to get better.

I think that Miles would have one more year and would be forced to bring in another OC. Crowton will be gone after bowl game because their is no way you can keep him. Miles knows he has one more year and it's BCS bound or bust and Crowton is not doing the job. Still had trouble moving the ball against a bad Arkansas defense.

I'd say they'd keep him.....but that doesn't have to be the right decision! Hopefully, Crowton is fired in the off-season. We desparately need a coach that can groom QBs. So far, Lee and Jefferson stink.....is that their talent or the coaches around them?

You can't fire a 10 win coach.

I agree about Crowton being fired.... But Miles will not be gone...Once again, you do not get in the habit of firing 10 win coaches!

I think you have to do your home work. If you can get a coach like Saban then you would pull the trigger. It will all start to come to a head next year, when we lose to Bama, and Fla., and Maybe Ole Miss again. Or we get out coached by some other team that we should beat.

I still am not sold on jj, I see no improvement since the first game. Still can't make a decision. Thus continous sacks. My biggest fear is next year we will still be looking for a qb.

Of course we don't have a good quarterback. Jefferson is not much, and I think this is about as good as he's gonna get. And as far as Miles, this win just shows how far the program, and the acceptance of it, have fallen. To think that people are praising a pull out your arse win in OT at home against an unranked Arkansas as some great showing and sign that things are back on track, is a fricking joke! Hell, the last 2 years, things were never ON TRACK! NEVER! And I know the Miles apologist's are gonna come with the standard crap that "hey it's a win man, be happy", and hey 9-3 ain't bad and how do you fire a coach who is this and that! Well you can fire a coach who inherited a great program, and in the last two years where his players have mainly been on the field, and his coaching philosophy has guided them, they have gone 8-8 in the SEC and have had numerous other pathetic performances and escaped being ahead on the scoreboard. But there has been an incredible obvious decline in the program, and it will continue next year! Miles will never lead LSU to another BCS bowl game, EVER. At best under Chuckles, LSU will be looking at Cotton Bowl, or Cap 1 maybe, and then Peach (or Chick Filet, whatever) and then Liberty! So I guess people will be satisfied with being 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th best in SEC every year, and hoping for a 2nd tier New Years day bowl, or 3rd tier bowl period! Get used to it or worse! And all this at the low low price of just 3.8 million and 99 cents.
