No time for FG try?

As long as it takes for the chain gang to get down the field, the refs to run down, place thae ball, etc. wouldn't that have been enough time for the FG unit to get lined up for a try (if they were lined up and ready on the sideline)? If the entire offense running around like chickens with their heads cut off got lined up in plenty of time to get a snap off to spike, couldn't the snap get off in time for a FG? I think so. This possibility should have been envisiond during the last timeout and the FG team should have been ready.

Run the ball when you're already in field goal range after the onside
