In my humble opinion these are the things Miles must do to save his job and this program

1) Obvisouly fire Crowton. I suggest replacing him with Mark Whipple the OC at Miami. Whipple is a former NC winning head coach (albeit at a FCS school) and former quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. He has sophomore Jacory Harris and the Miami offense playing pretty good. Of course there are plenty of other good candidates. A new O line coach is needed as well. I would open up the checkbook for Rick Trickett.

2) Fix our conditioning problems. I don't think most Tiger fans realize how big of a problem conditioning is right now. Moffit is one of the best in the business so I highly doubt he is the one to blame. There is either too much full contact in practie which is wearing our guys out, (remember this being an issue when miles got here. he complained about the lack of full contact in practice.) or Miles is too easy on them in the offseason. I have also heard stories of excessive partying during game week. No way of knowing this is true but it could be part of the problem.

3) Take Control. Miles doesn't get paid four mil to "suggest a run". You tell your OC we are going to run it and kick the field goal. This makes him look weak.

I've been an LSU fan for a long time (ever since I can remember, 1960)and the one thing I have learned is the term "Field General". There are various management skills people acquire throughout thier adult life. They either take charge or allow input and consider that input or they let the "inmates run the aslyum". We used to "rant" about how much of a tyrannt Nick Saban was and he just wanted to do it his way and nobody was to have input. Now we have a coach that allows all kinds of input and sometimes, I feel, he allows certain things or people have too much of the decision makeing power for the team. I appreciate his "manning up" on the T-O issue and clock management. But all good executives must have underlings that will provide unbiased advice and counse at critical times because of "information overload". Folks making $4mil should have this counsel during critical times. Jeez, what a rant. Anyway, i am sure there are folks out there that know players and have asked them (players) how they feel. We have no clue what was said, what the emotions were, who stood and supported the coach, or whatever during team meetings Sat nite upon arrival in BR or during the Sun morn meetings. I would bet there were some tears and heartfelt emotion between coach and player.

From what he said after the game and in his presser yesterday it sounds like the assistants have more pull then they should.

1) "I suggested run"

2) "The call to clock it came from the box"

Miles is the head coach and when it comes to managing the game he should call all the shots.
