I really don't think its LSU, I think its Miles taking the huge hit. I think there could even be a positive spin on the program. Like, LSU can win games if the coach doesn't completely handcuff the players.

the news media has a way of spitting on the last person that they have seen as bufoonish. thus they can hide their own inadequateness with their news. most sec officials and many announcers fit in this same category; not to mention the sportscasters.

work on the problem! get rid of the man that makes these kinds of mistakes as a program's head coach, this will help remedy the problem quickly.

I bet this is pretty much forgotten by 99.9999999999999% of the population within a week. I was reading a non-LSU spots board this weekend, a board in Big East/Big 10 country, and they gave the whole thing passing attention and then quickly moved on. Trust me, most people, even in the sporting world, don't give a shite about Les Miles and the trials and tribulations of the LSU football program. They're too busy shitting on their own teams to take a dump on ours.

That would be way less than 1 person worldwide.

Every program has a moment of embarassment:

Auburn - Tuberville - Petrino

Oregon - thug-Blount at Boise State

Oklahoma State -- "I'm a Man"

Tennessee - 3 felons with pellet guns

Alabama - loosing to one of the UL's (ULM)

Michigan - Rich Rod works his players too hard and then finishes last in the big ten

USC - gives up 110 points in two weeks

Yale - 4th down on their 25 fakes a punt Saturday misses it and loses a game. And those are the smart guys with a smart coach.

Mississippi State - Jackie Sherril and the bull testicles

LSU - before Saturday? Curly Hallman

Colorado -- "This is the Big 12!"

Ohio State - lost to Purdue

NC State - gave up 5 touchdown passes to Duke

Florida State - giving away grades

Everbody gets embarassed from time to time.

This will pass. It will all be OK. Will Les overhaul the Offense? Will he appoint a good executive coach to stand near him near end of tight games to monitor the clock think strategy for him while he is monitoring plays or whatever he was doing while he was not watching the clock?

My best guess is that he trusted/trusts Crowton too much. I think it may be as simple as that. Mistake, sure. But the sky won't fall. Bet he never runs 3 pass plays on 1 and 10 from the 32 again. Just a thought. Bet he also calls two plays in every timeout from now on. Bet he practices the hurry up field goal too. Old dogs can learn new tricks. He can improve Tiger nation. Everybody has a bad day. I am hopeful that is what happened Saturday. Not confident. Hopeful.

LSU will finish 8-5, 10-3, 9-4. They will be ranked about 15th next fall. Good schedule. Jr. QB. Tebow gone. Alabama has to reload on D. 22 for Ole Miss is gone. I like Tiger chances, pending some critical changes in offensive thinking.

This embarassment will pass. It was just our turn.

No, it's not.

LSU is still LSU. You'd have to have a lot of down seasons to undo that and even then it probably wouldn't happen (see ND).

We wish! We will be hearing about this all year. Every time you step outside of La. with your LSU gear on, you are going to get verbally trashed.

Gulf Shores and Destin will be the last place you want to wear your P&G colors. This will be our signature for the year unless we get lucky on one of the players shoots someone or robs a bank.

At least it will eliminate the nationl media's stories about LSU fans being unrealistic when calling for the removal of Les as HC.

Remember them grilling Nebraska over the Solich firing?
