sorry if germans. with the volume of threads its hard to keep up with all the topics touched on.....
To all the people who are defending Miles saying that he was not calling for the ball to be spiked in the video, that he was motioning to the official that Tolliver was down before the ball was intercepted. Did it ever occur to any of you that this was yet another mistake made in the long line of mistakes at the end of the game. in that case you WANT the officials to be as confused as possible to have to review it. If Miles thought there was not enough time to run the field goal team on like he said (which I dont agree with as we have Minn. Purdue proof to the contrary) then you would not want to convince the officials of anything. Let them be confused and call for a booth review and this would have allowed the time to get the field goal team on the field and snap off as soon as the ruling was in your favor. Now obviously if the official is ruling incomplete then you argue vehemently as the clock is stopped anyway. Notice you didnt see Houston Nutt not once motion the pass as incomplete or intercepted cause he didnt want to put doubt in the officials mind to induce a replay seeing the disarray LSU was in knowing that the stoppage would cost his team the game. Just another aspect of a coach knowing what to do and ours not having a clue.

My exact thoughts. Make the officials review and get the FG team on the field. I was yelling this at the TV!!!
