If we get blown out by Arkansas does Miles' status change for 2010? Is he safe regardless of Saturdays outcome?

I hate to say so, but I believe it is. His buyout is just way too much

and doesn't his buyout stay the same after an 8 wins season. I believe he gets a 1 year extension after every 8 wins season so as long as he wins 8, he is almost untouchable

I disagree. If we get blown out by ArKansas then I believe Crowton is gone for the bowl and Miles will seriously be on the hotseat.

It doesnt have to be paid out all at once... Rox posted the breakdown.

It comes out to 1.5 mil a year for the next 10 years.

Go out, pickup a coach for 2 mil a year, and with the buyout every year, LSU is back at Miles annual salary anyways.

If we get the shite kicked out of us I definitely wouldn't be suprised by the AD biting the bullet and making a change. We might not get a great bowl and that is more lost money.

It's about time somebody finally asked this for the first time.

This is what I don't get. So, does it make sense to pay 15-18 million over a few years to get your program on track right away, or does it make sense to pay 4 million a year to let this doofus drag you down for a few more years and then end up having to pay 15-18 million later on anyhow? I say cut bait now, and save yourself the headache of having to completely rebuild.

If we get blown out??? We're going to get destroyed. If they can hold Florida to 27 points and at least 10 of those points were from UF's defense/special teams, then we have no shot. I hate it, but it's absolutely true.

I believe we're going to lose the game. Whether we get blown out or not, I do not know. BUT, we held Florida to 13 points. By your logic, we're a better team than Arkansas.

Yes, he is safe. Doesn't he get an automatic extension with an eight win season, which was already achieved?

Is Crowton safe? Well, that is a different question..... Just as with the Co-Defensive coordinators, Les won't do anything until the end of the season when Crowton can be placed, maybe at NSU. I hear they need a new coach.
