Now I know this is the least of anyone concerns at this time of the year but with all the Pete Carroll bashing going on around here I thought this was necessary.

After Stanford went for 2 while leading and with game in hand folks were defending the act. Many of folks said it was fair and no big deal b/c P. Carroll would do the same b/c he has no class and often disrespects lesser teams.

Today the LSU women's team beat a far inferior team 92-19. Question is where are all the folks to bash Van after showing so little class by running up the score?

Before the flames come let's get one thing straight. I AM IN FAVOR FOR RUNNING IT UP EVERY CHANCE YOU GET!!! Alls I would like is for people to be fair and unbiased when calling out other teams coaches.

Exactly what I thought would happen. No one cares if a LSU team runs it up. We always win w/ class.

I was there. He subbed liberally and it wasn't like he was putting on a full court press or anything.

The Tiger girls shot the ball exceptionally well - 32-63 overall and 10-17 from three. Centenary was 8-44.

The reason the score was so out of whack is that LSU girls play fantastic woman-to-woman defense. They really pressured the ball well and caused a lot of turnovers.

I don't think anyone can ask Van to tell his team not to play defense in a tuneup game.

If you're going to make posts to cause controversy, pick a better topic. Firing Les Miles/Crowton/Who plays QB seem to be doing well lately. Maybe try those?

You are kidding right?

He subbed liberally for the starters for a long time in the first half, then pulled them permanently about 2 minutes into the second half. The last 10 minutes were played with all newcomers who are trying to find their way. There was no pressing after the first 10 minutes of the game. On top of that, Centenary REALLY sucks. Van would never run up the score.

Go stir shite somewhere else.

He wasn't running up the score. The problem was that the game should never have been played to begin with, LSU could have played one down and still won handily.

This is not the coach's fault, it's the scheduler's fault.

Centenary is Division 1. We are Division 1. There is no reason not to play them. It isn't our fault they suck. They are dropping to Division 3 soon and I hope they do well there. The best thing about the game was its timing...it basically served as a glorified exhibition game. The competition gets much better Wed. when Middle Tennessee comes to town.
