Peterson's interception...

I have accepted this loss as there is, in fact, no other recourse... Yet, I cannot let go of Peterson's interception. Perhaps it is due to the alternative ending that replays itself in my head...ending of course with LSU's come from behind victory and Peterson cemented nationally as the nation's great cornerback. Yes, I know, unfortunately, nuanced delusion...but the possibilities...
I have watched it several times since and a few things stand out to me... Patrick Peterson was often in pain during the second half...at times, agonizing pain... Yet, he kept coming back...he fought hard. Then there was the 73 yard touchdown while he was out...and Peterson came back. Then the play... Our team, down by 6, and Alabama driving. The play... watch it again, normal speed. It was simply a testament to a "want" the likes of which I have not seen in a long time. Peterson wanted the ball and, at full speed, he took it. It all happened so fast...NFL speed, NFL skill, driven by the heart of a young man who wanted to give his team another chance...watch it again...full speed. It was nothing short of a brilliant play...a play when it mattered most to him and his team...and it was taken away from him and his team...I am bothered by that...I am not a conspiracy theorist, yet I am angered that that young man's desire and heart was trumped by...incompetence. I feel for him and the team today because it seems they were competing against multiple forces yesterday (and this year for that matter); however, if Peterson's play yesterday and his reaction to the decision are any indication, we will be fine...
