Are there enough weeks left in the season after they lose tonight for the media and voters to "forgive" this loss and vote them back into the top 5?

What will be the excuses of ESPN?

Brent Pussburger is making quite a few excused for them.

Listening to him call this sometimes sounds like he's narrating a loved one's last days in a hospital bed.

I bet the USC home announcers aren't as disgusted as he is.

They won't drop out the top 10.

I can't wait to hear what Mark May has to say.

But he still isn't as bad as Herbie. He has spent the entire game felating Barkley.

Depends on how much they lose by, if they lose. Didn't they say the other day that they haven't lost a game by more than a touchdown in like 8 years (or something)?

Or...could we simply see Oregon replace them as the media darling PAC10 team? They'll probably replace USC at number 4. Anyone think that happens?

Well, Barkely is still a freshman so that should count for this game. Plus he wasn't playing agains UW, so that makes them undefeated, right?

You don't think they look good? Assume they win the game, where should they end up IYO?

I know someone is going to say it b/c Musberger just said it: They're not jumping a 1-loss SEC team or a 1-loss UT.

Well, they do look good...but they lose to Boise St.

Is that happened last week they'd be hanging in the bottom of the Top 25.

No PAC10 championship game might fast track them to the BCS.

What a nighmare for the BCS and common sense if a 1-loss Oregon team gets in the NCG over an undefeated BSU team.

Going to be really tough for Oregon to get to the top2 without a lot of help.
