wow, terrible call there

Subject wasn't updated so Chicken requested another made with updates. Unless I missed another being created
Ouch, first pitch off the knee.
eta: Call in the top of the 8th was very close. It was at the edge of the glove in slow motion. You see that called an out 19 out of 20 times.

are these Umps SEC Refs in disguise? There have been some big missed/bad calls in this game

They've been surprisingly terrible on the calls in the field. Usually the home plate ump is always a gamble on whether he'll be worth a damn, but the field isn't as bad.
I have no explanation for what we've seen this post season. Hell, it seems all sports are suffering problems with officials being terrible this year. Is it because there seems to be some kind of loyalty, leading to old arse officials who are losing steps in their ability?

Thought that strike 3 was outside myself.
Matsui late on the same pitch 3 times in a row.
Terrible strike 2 call on Gardner.

Ump has a very wide zone.

Worst. Strike. Three. Call. Ever.

That trax looked way off from where it was. It was no worse than strike 3 on Rodriguez or strike 2 on Gardner (which was one of the worst strike calls I've seen in awhile)
eta: Ump has a very wide strike zone, and looks like it's been that way for both teams.

It wasn't even near the plate. This shite is rigged
Posted on 10/29/09 at 10:20 pm to Eternalmajin
Yes it was. It was 2 inches high and 3 inches outside. It was neither a strike height or width.
A-Rod's was a strike. But Gardner's was bad.

Turn the knob down on your Yankee hatred if you think it wasn't close to the plate.
edit: compared to the others that is.

Not comparing to others, I am comparing it to an actual strike

He has, but that has nothing to do with this.
I am a Yankees fan, and I know that Rivera gets THE widest strikezone of any pitcher in the league. Especially on outside pitches.

Well that's why I mentioned the other "strikes" called no less than a half inning ago. Ump seems to have a very extended zone for both teams. I wasn't surprised to see that one called a strike after the couple we had just seen.
