I think most will agree offense has been LSU's biggest problem to date while the defense has consistantly improved since the UDub game. With all the focus on the offense the last 2 weeks and a pretty potent offense coming to town lets say LSU explodes for 35 points and wins in a "barn burner" (literally) 35-31. And Todd throws for 300 yds and Tate rushes for another 150. Next week does the sky fall on the defense after a poor performance or do we just chalk it up to a bad game against a pretty good offense?

IMO one good offensive output would not mean things are fixed offensively and one poor defensive output would not mean the defense has regressed. I only ask this cause I think this is a good possibility this weekend.

A bad defensive day, combined with a good offensive day is a win. Here's why. Our defense has shown they can play, and one bad day is nothing. Our offense has not shown they can even play in one single game. If they played well for one game, we would know the potential is there. With what we've seen so far, we don't even know if the potential is there.

I don't think you can fix our offensive problems overnight, and you can't just get lucky and start accurately throwing the ball up the field to multiple receivers. You either have it or you don't.
