What are the rules concerning athlete's eligibility and full time student classification? During the Ark - Fl game one of the TV announcers said that Tebow was only taking one class this semester...I thought you had to be a full time student to play.

Tebow is graduating this semester. My understanding is you have to register as a full time student, unless you are graduating, in which case you can take only what is required to graduate.

He already had enough credits to graduate except for one class. LSU had a lineman in the early 90's that had already graduated or had enough credits by the end of the 1st semester - can't recall who it was.

Are you thinking of Rodney Reed in 2003? Graduated May 2003 with honors; enrolled in Grad school to play his "senior year". Good move in retrospect.
Rodney Reed
