Just got HD a few weeks ago and wanted to see if my eyes and my TV are working right. Looks like there are several channels that are always better than others.

- Food Channel actually seems like the best of them all.
- Discovery is really good for most shows.
- Travel Channel
- No matter the channel, baseball is the best as far as sports goes, followed by golf, football then NASCAR.

Sound about right? Any others stand out?

Basketball is great in HD as well. Especially College BB. I think the Masters is the most gorgeous sport in HD though.

Best channel is DiscoveryHD.

I'm digging ScyFy's HD (hate the name change though). The outdoor scenes on SG:U look amazing.

Nat Geo is pretty good. I watched a special on the redwoods the other day that had some shots of Big Sur. Looked unreal on the new LED. Showtime's HD shows and movies ondemand look pretty fricking nice also.

actually its Discovery HD Theater but yes..it wins.

Travel Channel and HDNET are close seconds..HDNET shows some amazing coastlines that look like you're staring out a window at it.

I'd put MOJO TV up there (rip)

Three Sheets was one of my fav shows.

Also, the VOOM networks had some jaw-dropping high quality HD but DISH shitcanned them which is too bad. Very unique channels.

I hate golf but I'll watch this just b/c of the HD broadcast.

CBS is the best picture.

Outside of basic cable, Travel Channel because of the combination of my favorite shows and cool HD sights
