I've heard Sam Peterson, from DeRidder, has an offer as a pitcher. Assuming he'll commit at some point.

I'm going to start a 2011 baseball recruiting thread when I get more time, I still have to find stuff for the 2010 one too

has anyone heard anything on Lucas LeBlanc?

Lucas (James) Leblanc out of St. Thomas Moore. All I know about him is he's a decent OF with quick hands, can pull the ball. Not sure if he's going to get an offer from LSU if that's what your asking. Mainieri seemed to fill that class up pretty fast, it's going to be a VERY talented class barring a huge hit from the MLB draft.

Not sure why the Barbe guys even get offered - Cechinni is gone! Will never set foot on campus.

powell will likely be drafted pretty high imo

Better to go pro than to Tulane, ULL, or Alabama. (2002-2006)

It will take alot of money to keep Powell away from LSU.

I'm pretty sure he got the highest signing bonus for anyone not in the first round. So yeah, get a lot of money, I don't blame him or begrudge him one bit for signing with the Pirates.

Yea Cechinni is gone but he said that since the day he said he would go to LSU in the Lake Charles paper. There are two Barbe kids still going to LSU out of the class of 2010. Look for Kevin Berard and Hommy Rosardo to be at LSU.

Isn't national signing day for baseball coming up pretty soon?

I believe the fall signing period is in november. I'm not sure of the exact dates, but I think it's the same as basketball's early signing period.
